by maddaloni on Apr.07, 2009, under WATCHES, Watches / Jewelry
“ArmbandUhren”, the largest watch enthusiast’s magazine located In Germany, unveiled the most popular watches of 2009. The Glashütte Original PanoInverse XL was on the top of the list. Maddaloni is delighted to have acquired two of the most sought after design, created in white gold and rose gold. The PanoInverse XL was introduced at Basel 2008. It uses a manufacture Caliber 66 hand wound movement. The hand-engraved duplex swan-neck bridge is a visual masterpiece. Although, the large balance wheel that oscillates below the bridge 28,800 times per hour, is the most extraordinary feature. The case is made in a polished 18k white gold or 18k rose gold. The time is displayed by two gold on black off-centered sub-dials. A blue-steel hand at one o’clock indicates the amount of power reserved in the mainspring. The off-centered time display has been reduced to a system of black rings touched with gold figures to expose the complete structure of the mechanism. The PanoInverse XL was a complex task for the mechanical engineers of Glashutte Original. This smart and elegant watch will certainly attract watch enthusiasts.
