The new collection from Montblanc is the Star Eternal Lady line of watches and includes an automatic three-hand model, an automatic with a moon phase indication complication, and a quartz movement based model. This set represents a unique collection each with a different arrangement of diamonds, which makes each watch simply stunning. Each model is similar with an 18k white gold case set with 42 diamonds on the bezel, as well as a mother of pearl dial. The Star Lady Diamonds Automatic model features a clustered dial look. In addition to the ‘galaxy’ of diamonds, there is a special array of diamonds that forms the Montblanc emblem. Next, the Star Eternal Lady Moonphase Diamonds automatic features a more traditional use of diamonds used for hour indicators as well and for rings around the various dials. The third model, being the Star Eternal Lady Diamonds with the quartz movement represents use of diamonds to create organic patterns on the bezel. In total, the three watches have over 1,500 diamonds total, which amount to over 10 carats. The watches come together in a box set.
Montblanc, From Humble Beginnings To The Peak Of Perfection

Three businessmen shared a dream over a century ago…. to develop and manufacture the finest writing instruments the world has seen, to this date. Establishing this dream not only came to fruition, but over 100 years later their writing instruments have become responsible for preserving the legacy of a writing culture. This venture kept the written word as an original concept within an increasingly advanced writing environment. The slogan ‘Put pen to paper’ asks those writing with their keyboards to revert back to the elegance of “hand writing”.The first writing instrument produced by Montblanc was, “Rouge et Noir”.
This was followed by a number of branded pens the company mass produced. Soon to follow were limited edition series creating a unique elegance giving the company stature in luxury market. The most expensive Montblanc pen is the “mystery masterpiece”. There are three variations, set either with rubies, sapphires or emeralds, and accented by diamonds. There are three versions of each pen for a total of nine. Each pen has 840 diamonds and more than 20 carats of gemstones set in a Van Cleef & Arpels patented “Mystery Setting” that conceals the stone settings. A groove is made on the culet, the bottom facet of the stone, which is then slid onto the threads of the lattice design so that the stones can be held in place side by side without any visible support. sells for $730,000, making it the most expensive writing instrument ever created.
